The Blue Half Podcast:- Season 2 Episode 13

“Unlucky for Some”

Rodger is joined by two Matthews, Barry and Chandler for a look back at Burnley and then a broader discussion on what is lacking at Everton:

  • Fitness
  • Identity
  • Passion

To what extent are these managerial problems that Carlo alone can address?

Do we have a Plan, or are we just rolling the dice, time after time?

Are short term and long term objectives aligned?

Or, is this just a continuation of a wider malaise in the DNA of the Club?

“Lucky Dip”

  1. Hi Rodger
I love the podcasts, please carry on with then.
Just a couple of points to make and these are entirely my own opinions. Carlo was brought to the club on a long term plan to build a side that we could be proud of and to take us into the new stadium.
As you stated Marcel is a long term strategy to master the academy and to bring in players who are more long term. I think this is why Carlo is trying to bring in more experienced players, these are short term remedies to get us into a better position. We desperately need to ship out the deadwood to free up the budget. I also think we should have someone who is a proven defensive coach, we do have GK coaches and also attacking coaches etc. I would like to think Marcel & Carlo are working in tandem, if they aren’t we as a club lose out. All the best Rodger.
    Regards
    John Russell
